He felt a rush of static through his hooves, and up, up through his spine, and his eyes shot open; only to meet a similar pair of eyes from across the village border. At first, he smiled, thinking that it was his friend Jackery, a wolf man who often wandered from his settlement to practice his wood magic. 

Feyrith tilted his head, and slowly, the eyes tilted too. The slowness of the movements made Feyrith feel uneasy, and he subconsciously held his breath as the creature came nearer.

There was a myriad of different types of strange looking creatures coming out of it and Brandon stood there in disbelief at what he was seeing.
