Daisy Green has not had it easy in life. She's had severe social anxiety for as long as she can remember, and with a father who abuses her, and a mother that passed away, she is getting tired.

Whenever she isn't at school, she is in the bakery her Aunt Meg owns, which one day she will take over. But no one knows about what happens behind closed doors. No one knows her father is a drunk, who can't control his temper.

But what happens when she bumps into Paige Bueckers? Literally.

Will Paige be able to break down the walls that Daisy has built up?
