Athena is a sweet, shy and innocent 18 year old girl who has just finished out her senior year of high school with honors. Her and her best friend Tara have planned a trip to Hawaii with their parents. Their parents are best friends as well as neighbors.
Luke is Tara's older brother who left 2 years ago for college and hasn't been back besides a couple short trips where Athena never saw him.
Athena had the biggest crush on Luke and before he left she was going to tell him but he changed, became angry and distant and then disappeared off to college without even saying goodbye.
Luke was always very sweet to Athena so she did not know where this came from. It broke her heart but she decided to forget about him and move on.
