Kaia Bailey is the daughter of a Hawaiian mother and an Australian Father. She was born in Hawaii and the family later moved to New York when she was 5. Now, 12 years later, on Kaia's 17th birthday, her mom told her about their new relocation to Australia, in attempt to be closer to the grandparents on her father's side. Sad to leave her friends yet determined to start a new life, Kaia packs up and leaves with her family to live at her Grandparents beach side mansion. She goes to the beach everyday to stifle her loneliness as she makes friends with the beach, its wonders, and eventually..... a boy.
