Wei Ying become a mysterious mask man, he doesn't want anyone know that he is Wei Ying courtesy Wei Wuxian. He help the cultivator from the shadow, he help them win the war against Wen Rouhan. Wei Ying won't let those clan know that it was him who helped them. This story will go farther into the end of the series, where Nie Mingjue won't die he was save by Wei Ying. Lan Wangji has not spoken a single word in three years, not since the death of his parents. When he sees his childhood crush in front of him he wants to speak but cannot make himself do so. So he pulls Wei Wuxian into his arms and kisses him. Lan Haikuan never blamed his brother for being the reason he lost his parents but Wangji did.
