Jerome LaRoy want's his senior year to go one way and one way only, after having a losing season for the last 3 years. That is to stay out of trouble from the terrible neighborhood he lives in- Compton, Ca. Do good in all his classes and Ultimately win the State Championship. That has always been his dream since a child, at the age of 6 when he started playing basketball. He only hopes to go as far as he possible can with his dream and make it into reality.
While he was practicing his Coach told him a new player will be coming in from a different High School, a player he's never liked. After hearing this, things went from great to Terrible for Jerome. Will everything go the way Jerome wants it too?
