"I can't- I can't get yo-you involved in...th-this....Matthew....understand....leave me! p-lease!" I spoke with the very little energy that I was left with. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I pleaded to him with my broken voice.
"I have promised you to be with you always! so now when you are in danger, you think I'll let you be?!" He spoke with a gentle yet roaring voice. I tried to speak but couldn't because of the knot that had tied in my throat.
He held my arms and brought me closer to him with his eyes looking at me with love in them, "I love you, Anna. I can't, I won't, I can never even think of leaving you - let alone actually do that." He said, wiping my tears. "So, let me be your new life, let me be your escape from this hell." he said, kissing my forehead.
