Wishes are one of the most powerful things about humans.
They hold people's deepest desires, deepest thoughts, and most beautiful dreams.
But they are also magically powerful, and the King of Rosas knows this.
The great sorcerer King Magnifico founded Rosas with the sole purpose of harvesting this power. His people, when they turn 18, give him their wishes in exchange they get to live in a safe, beautiful, and prosperous kingdom completely for free. And once a year, a lucky citizen may have their wish granted, returning back to whole.
However giving up a wish is a difficult thing.
It's like taking away a part of your soul, leaving behind an empty gap no material object will fill.
Asha, a 17 year old girl who has yet to give up her wish, watched as this emptiness consumed her grandfather. He is about to turn 100 years old, which means he has lived almost 82 years with that emptiness that seemed to just grow and grow over the years, but he is a strong man, never giving up on the dream that one year his wish will be granted.
Asha, determined to make his wish come true, tries to become the King's apprentice, one of the sure-fire ways a wish could be granted, is to become the one who can grant it. But instead of learning how to grant wishes, Asha learns the dark reason why King Magnifico keeps them.
Fearing for her people's wishes, Asha turns away from the King and his ways, doing the forbidden and wished upon a star, only for a boy who's hair glowed like starlight to fall from the sky.

This story also has a story plot for me too. After I'v been told that I'm going to be queen of Auradon soon, I have to start choosing on who my king shall be. And with my thoughts telling me it's going to be my boyfriend, Jim Hawkins, he proposes to me on our date. But after I tell Mal and Ben the news, Mal disagrees with me and tells me she won't allow it. With all the anger that she put me threw, I run away from Auradon and head off to the isle of the lost so no one can ever find me. With me and Mal gone, Ben, Evie, Jay, and Carlos go back to the isle to find the both of us, and bring us back home. But after when Ben gets himself kidnapped by Uma's pirate gang, Uma tells Mal to give her the fairy godmother's magic wand in order to break down the barrier between Auradon and the isle. With the five us thinking about what we should do, we have to think quickly before time runs out, and the barrier between Auradon and the isle will be destroyed.
