Nex, a captive-bred wolf, ventures outside the security of her zoo to chase a dream of living in the wild. But instead of the serene, deer-filled woodland experience she is expecting, she is thrown into a perilous conflict, in which the fragile balance between packs and their spirit guides is teetering on the edge of crumbling. The lines between tangible and supernatural begin to blur, and finally among wolves who long to be free just like she does, Nex has never felt so alone.
