She is in an accident that left a shard of energon in her chest close to her heart. Not that she or the autobots know it's energon yet. The Autobots find an energon mine, however, so do the Decepticons. Due to an attack from the Decepticons' warship, the Ground Bridge overloads, enabling Rachet to bridge Team Prime back to base. And, to complicate things more, the kids, Jack Darby, Rafael Esquivel, and Mako Nakadai have come with the Autobots. Now damaged from the ambush, Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, must get himself and the kids back to base safely. Along the way, he ends up strengthening the bond with the children in different ways he expected as they learn more about himself. But of course, the Decepticons are on the lookout for Prime and his charges...

It could be one and a half stories. So when these two meet, which aren't under the best of circumstances, they might start butting heads (or helms, or both, or-you get the idea). Or they can have a guardian/charge relationship that they slowly build up to, even when one of them will respond to the other without a word.
