This is it. The year Ponyboy turns sixteen. The year when he has to choose between staying with his old faction, Abnegation, or choosing a new one. Every once and a while there are people who have aptitude for more than one faction. And they call it Greaser. Ponyboy lives with his two brothers in an Abnegation home, Sodapop and Darry. On the day of the Aptitude test, Ponyboy finds out he's Greaser and it makes it so he has no idea what faction he should choose at the Choosing Ceremony. Read on to find out what happens next.

Darrel is stressed with work and taking care of his two brothers and was getting angry a lot recently. Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time. Ponyboy was struggling with his sexual orientation and was scared what others would say when he realised he had fallen in love with, not even a girl, but Johnny Cade. Really just me trauma-dumping onto all of the Curtis brothers and adding Darrel's anger issues to the mix.
