Eight years after the events of the repository, Sebastian Sallow's seemingly quiet life as a Dark-Arts professor is turned upside-down when his former friend-Juliette Fontaine-returns to Hogwarts for reasons unknown. In a remarkable coincidence, the professor and the curse-breaker soon discover a new, young Ancient Magic wielder among the professor's own students. Old feelings and lingering tension resurface as they work together to help the young protégé master their magic and earn their place as a Keeper.
