Have you ever heard the words "unconditional friendship"? Well, that's what this story is about and you'll have learned the complete meaning of it by the end of Shay's story.
Shay's a hybrid: half wolf, half human. Her best friend, Kate, is a wolf Shape Shifter: can turn into a wolf willingly, but she's also their Princess.
One night, when both of their families come home from a business trip they're ambushed right on the steps of their home and murdered by a group of Wolf Shifters. At the sight of the situation, and on the last wish of the King, Shay takes Kate and runs away from the Royal mansion. Leaving their families and their murderers behind, they're taken in by a human couple, but after a few years of living with them unoticed their cover is blown and they decide to leave them for their own safety.
Almost four years after leaving the Humphreys' behind, hiding and running from their families murderers, and trying to live a normal human life gets tiring. What will the girls do?
Shay is flat out considering going back to Shape Shifter territory and asking for help, even if she knows that will get her in real trouble. After all she did take the wolf Shape Shifter's Princess and only heir to their throne without asking. But their persecutors believe they have a job to finish and are closing in as we speak.
Kate on the other hand, well, she doesn't want to go back. A politican or a ruler of a whole species life wasn't exactly on her life plan. She's dead scared of what will happen to Shay if they go back. What will they do to her? But the need to honor her family's tradition and step into her father's shoes is very strong, even though she knows her now-would've-been 24 year old brother trained for the job his whole life and was way better at it than her.
Will the girls go back and face whatever comes their way, together, and go back to a Royal's life? Or, stay on the run for only God knows how long and try to fend off their families killers on their own?All Rights Reserved
