Helena is the last of her kind, an immortal race of beings born from the Harmonious Union of the first god and goddess. Formed within the Womb of the Mother of Void, they could consume the flesh of gods. Shape-shifting monsters of both creation and destruction, the Harmonious wrought destruction through all Realms of Reality. Fearing all of creation's destruction, the twelve gods and goddesses struck out. Every last child of the Harmonious Union was slaughtered.
Now captured and enslaved by the White Pantheon, Helena knows existence only by what it lacks.

Starving, exhausted, and formless; Helena is devoid of life. The gods ignore her prayers; Mother is silent to her begging.
Centuries pass in torment until the appearance of a mysterious and powerful man rips her away from formless darkness. The being claims the title Lord of the Black.
Although still persecuted by the Twelve, Helena is given new life in the physical realm of Flesh and Mortals.
Forced into recovery and care under Lord Black's watchful eye, Helena begrudgingly forms friendships and connections with those in his House. After centuries of hate and anger, Helena must try to put her prejudices and old-world fears of the other inhabitants in Black's House aside.

As time progresses, the undeniable pull of attraction and fate continues to lure Helena toward Lord Black. Even though they can't seem to go five minutes without fighting, affection begins to bloom inside Helena's rugged and broken soul.

Peace is elusive, however, as the past begins to unravel its twisted roots. Lies, religious corruption, and the truth about Lord Black's origins begin to dig twisted vines into the blossoming love between them. The struggle of overcoming her nature threatens to undo all that Helena has been gifted.
And hurt the creatures she has learned to love.
