Only a few months after joining the team, Fitz creates his greatest invention yet: a machine with the ability to travel through time. He and Simmons test it out and travel to the past, but they don't expect things to go so wrong. They certainly don't expect to be thrown into the greatest danger they've ever known. 
And one of them will be thrown to a world that's even more frightening than the past: their impending future.
