I tried to express their hurt here rather than just the anger, I love me some hinata and himawari but like they can get upset too ya know? So I tried to write down what their perspective would be like and I tried to write down Boruto more sad and hurt than angry and tried not to pin point Naruto as a terrible dad, just a dad who unfortunately was unaware of the consequences of his actions. So here we go!

And it's gonna take the lovely heiress a couple of heartbreaks, changes, loss and sacrifices to finally be able to get the guy she loved all her life. Well, it ONLY took a lot of growing up and the moon almost crashing on earth for Naruto to realize his own feelings for poor Hinata, right? And she NEVER gave up on him. Boruto: the next gen( A Boruto Fanfiction)
Are you someone who felt let down by Boruto? Maybe you're a longtime Naruto fan looking for something to fill the void left behind. If so, you're not alone-I felt the same way. Boruto had the potential to be great, but it missed the mark in so many ways. The power system was inconsistent, the worldbuilding felt off, and some characters were completely wasted. That's why I decided to rewrite it-to fix what went wrong and create a version that lives up to Naruto's legacy. In my version, Boruto isn't just a brat with daddy issues. He still wants his father's attention, but instead of resenting Naruto, he admires him and strives to fight alongside him. I've also revamped his power set-rather than the vague and unexplained Jogan, he'll awaken the Tenseigan, which makes sense given his lineage as the son of Naruto (Asura's reincarnation) and Hinata (Hamura's descendant). The Byakugan will also play a bigger role, something Naruto never fully explored. Worldbuilding? It's getting an overhaul. I want technology to exist, but not at the expense of the shinobi way of life. There will be trains, movies, prosthetics, and small advancements, but ninja culture remains dominant. And let's talk about character designs-Shino, Sumire, Anko... yeah, a lot needed fixing. But I won't spoil everything here. This is my vision of what Boruto could have been. Life was supposed to be different.....but the moment I was faced with reality, I gave up and ran. I ran from the looks, and stares of being a failure. All the desires and dreams I wanted was something so far from my reach now. So I distracted myself from the daily routines I used to do with work of a shinobi life....I didn't expect to have my life change so much when I met him. Hyuga Hinata was a peaceful, kind young lady. She thought if she stayed true to herself, she would get the life she wanted. That life mainly consisted of Uzumaki Naruto, but she was faced with conflict. When Hanabi was kidnapped, and they went to get her back she didn't expect Naruto to be more distant than ever. He could barely stand next to her, and she blamed herself for it. She thought she was the problem but when she found out the real reason her love for Naruto turned to pure hatred. What will happen when hinata isn't the same as anyone remembers, as he remembers.
