In this world, the only colors that one would see are black and white. But that would change the moment one locked gazes with their "soulmate."
18-year-old Kimberly Miranda, known as Lee, yearns to find this special person. She dreams of seeing the many different colors of the world for the first time and hopes to find someone she could share her love with. Her mother always described the moment of seeing colors for the first time as magical.
19-year-old Frederick Miller was fine with a monochrome world. After losing someone dear to him in a tragic accident a year ago, he has become indifferent to the legends of soulmates and colors. He believes that seeing colors won't bring any magic back into his life.
But when Lee and Frederick unexpectedly meet and their eyes lock, they are both thrust into a world of breathtaking colors. For Lee, it's the magic she's always longed for, and for Frederick, it's a challenge to his comfortable reality. Seeing the bright colors for the first time, he had a hard time holding on to his previous beliefs.

NOTES:
This is a work of fiction! Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are all a product of my imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or real-life events is purely coincidental. This AU has been around for a long time, I don't claim it as my original idea.
There will also be some Filipino words, phrases, and expressions that you'll encounter in the story. I may not explain them, but they fit the vibe! ^^
CREDITS:
For the sketches - a friend of mine, Jecyhan, who made me little sketches of what she thought Frederick and the other characters might've look like. A lot of her sketches are featured on the chapter images. Thank you, Jecy ❤️
For the book cover - Loriz Castillo, a very talented artist I had met through journalism. I commissioned her to create this amazing book cover, and her work exceeded all my expectations. Thank you, Loriz ❤️

❛𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒆?❜ he asked, voice low like it wasn't meant for nobody but her. 𝒛𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐡 didn't speak, just tilted her head a little and stepped in close.
she traced one of the tattoos on his arm, finger light like a whisper...when she finally looked up, slow and lazy, doe eyes glinting beneath her lashes--she kissed the corner of his mouth.
once, twice--then pulled back.
𝒐𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢 smirked. ❛𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒔𝒐.❜

She doesn't speak-not out loud, not anymore.
Zariah Hart's been quiet since the night she lost everything, and moving to The Palisade at Skyview Apartments was supposed to give her a fresh start.
No expectations. No questions. Just peace.
But peace gets complicated when a man like Omarion Jordan starts showing up in it.
He's nothing like she expected. Tatted, quiet, with eyes that read people better than they speak. A mechanic with a past he doesn't explain-and a presence that says more than his mouth does.
He doesn't ask about her silence.
She doesn't flinch at his reputation.
Somehow, that's enough.
What starts as simple glances turns into shared space.
What feels like comfort turns to something neither of them planned for.
But Atlanta doesn't forget what people try to bury.
And sometimes, the loudest truth is the one you never say out loud.
