In a world where majority of the population is reduced to a medieval age after a devastating nuclear apocalypse, the survivors of mankind were approached by a race of gods known as the Sentinels; mysterious deities led by an omnipotent force called "Nöhila." In an attempt to restore peace and harmony to mankind, the Sentinels established a caste system known as The Rings.
With the sudden and unexplained murder of a Sentinel, tension rises between The Rings as the people realize their "gods" may not be gods after all.
The story follows multiple characters perspectives in their journey within this war-torn society, with each of them pursuing one powerful weapon of legend:

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Should she call out or remain silent? "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?Complete

In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner. Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
