Book Two: They encourage, not the realists and the brave, but the gullible and the fragile, those too weak to fight back. They massacre lower and middle-class citizens once every month to control the growing population through a method called Cleansing. They rid of all music except modern pop to eliminate diversity, keeping only one artist from each state in the music industry. They stop anyone from going in or out of the country and kick out all those not born within the now-armed borders. And that's just the beginning of what they call "The Great Reformation," the grand change of the United States government and all of its operations. All because the United Kingdom has turned against the nation and declared war, or so President Nathaniel Carter says. Carter, as the dictator, begins to tell citizens certain things, things that Ryan Tedder and his bandmates, Zach, Eddie, Brent, and Drew, don't actually buy. After all, physicist Niels Bohr once said, "The best weapon of a dictatorship is secrecy." Along with this chaos, Ryan is trying to deal with the stress of Ramona becoming distant due to her past reappearing, and the new rules and regulations making his career walk on a tightrope. The national anthem may say otherwise, but the United States is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not with the new government. Ryan and the other guys are determined to dig through the lies and find the real reason why. © 2016 by Verona Rohellec. Second installment of the Blooming Passion trilogy. Complete. Mature language. COMPLETED (EDIT: In the process of being rewritten! Some of the writing might have you cringing! New chapters will be uploaded once they're all edited and written!) Meet Olivia, she's from Amity. You may think that everyone is Amity is just the happiest people in the world, right? Well, you're wrong. Not everyone at least. When Olivia transfers to Dauntless, where her sister transferred, no one could really figure out why. But will her past from Amity follow her? Haunt her, even? What about a certain Dauntless leader that seems to like her? "Training is over for today, everyone out!" Eric roars and as I'm about to walk through the door, I hear his cold voice yet again, "Not you Via, you stay," The others flood out and I stay planted near the door, he slowly stalks towards me and I find myself walking backward until I've hit the door behind me, I slightly jump from shock and let out yet another shaky sigh, he puts both of his arms beside my head, easily towering over me. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories. (Best) (THIS STORY TALKS ABOUT SOME MATURE THINGS THAT MAY TRIGGER SOME PEOPLE.) I do not own Divergent, I do not own the original Divergent characters, but I do own my characters. ★★★★★ "right up there with Hunger Games" I've reached my expiration date. Not that it matters. We're all going to die. To sixteen-year-old Micka, all words have flavours. Her emotions come with such force that she can't help but carve them into her skin. The night she decides to kill herself, she meets Runner -- a mysterious stranger who makes her question everything she's learned about the end of the world. His message is terrifying: It wasn't some mysterious disease that killed ten billion people. We did this. Humanity sleepwalked into climate disaster and ecocide, just to butcher and rape until blood stained the seas. Micka is sure Runner is lying. Her instincts urge her to stay far away from him. But he makes her an offer she finds hard to resist. There are only two rules she must follow: Kill. Survive. Because the final wars were never meant to end. ________________ Available books in the 1/2986 Series: Book 1: CUT Book 2: FOG Book 3: ICE Book 4: VOW Audio books narrated by Emma Galvin (Divergent Trilogy, Touched, A Shade of Vampire) are available at Audible.
