In a foggy forest, a single drop of dew dances through a forest, eventually landing in a glowing puddle. From this puddle, an angelic boy with feathered wings emerges and quickly matures into a man. Known as the Angel, he lives a solitary, humble life, despite the villagers' reverence. His life changes when he meets Ethelyn, a freckled village woman, and they fall in love.

Centuries pass, and the Angel, now old and reflecting on his long life, sits on a beach holding a gem, a memento from Ethelyn. Revealing his decaying wings, the Angel dissolves into the ocean, his divine yet mortal existence ending peacefully as he returns to the earth, allowing nature to flourish once more.
