Sutton Calloway's life has been nothing but a series of bad calls.

However, it's what led her to a career as a 9-1-1 dispatcher in Los Angeles, and it may have been the one good call she's ever made in her life, despite the number of bad calls she receives on a daily basis. So when Sutton unexpectedly gets set up with the flirtatious firefighter Evan Buckley, she thought he was just another good call she was making.

Except that all went up in flames (metaphorically) when the date ended horribly. Now, the last thing she wants is to have anything to do with him outside the world of first responders.

But that all changes with her sister's wedding on the horizon, and Sutton needs a date after she spills a little white lie to her family. Unfortunately for her, she had to call in a favor from her least favorite firefighter of Station 118. Thankfully, it's just one weekend they have to fake their attraction for one another. At least, that's the way it started. Waking up beside him in bed wasn't how it was supposed to end.

So with their lives becoming more intertwined than ever, they come up with a truce: the two would keep pretending to be a couple in front of her family for a little bit longer while starting a friendship...with benefits.

But after word gets around their jobs about this so-called new romance, the two just hope they can continue with the act for as long as they can, for they'd rather not get caught in the crossfire of consequences on both ends. Especially if things get...too complicated.
