Gladion is unexpectedly reunited with his old rival, Ash, who is visiting Alola before embarking on a new journey. While exploring a forest together, the pair is startled by a mysterious noise coming from the bushes. As they investigate with their Pokemon, they accidentally attack a familiar face: Hau. It has been a while since Gladion and Hau last saw each other at the Pokemon League, and Hau, always up for a challenge, quickly challenges Gladion to a Pokemon battle. Little do they know, this battle will have unexpected consequences for their relationships and love lives.
