You wake up in an unfamiliar place, crates tossed across the floor.  You are in a cage and it opens from the outside, as boys gather around the entrance. A boy jumps down to help you up, and you slowly start to fall for him.

    Also if you haven't read or watched The Maze Runner, I would recommend doing so first, otherwise, that might make it harder for you to understand what's going on.
    
    (This is my first book and I tried really hard so go a little easy on me haha :)
