Sagenite is a Skywing Princess who has been isolated from Phyrria and the ten tribes her entire life, and for good reason: She's the first firescale in the kingdom in centuries. The only dragon she knows or trusts is her mother, Princess Zircon.

When she hears that her poor fireless brother is being sent to Jade Mountain Academy, she makes the courageous decision to go with him to keep him safe - very unlike Sagenite.

But going comes with a consequence; Not only must she find out why her brother has been acting up, but she must learn how to navigate an academy full to the brim with dragons and try to make friends.. even with her firescales.
