Since she was a baby she's been constantly watched and trained to unleash her inner demon, Hikoru. But neither of them want to have their existance soley based on killing anymore. Hikoru and Ashley are 'irregulars' meaning instead of killing we rather help others in need but in the era of fear the world is under, they are the 'weaklings' that everyone is after. Sadly, 50,000 people are chosen to compete in the annual 'Bloodbath Games' where everyone fights to the death and only one can be left.
