Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy.
This is a non-stereotypical pregame Saiouma story where there is no stalker-ish creepy Shuichi or uwu boy Kokichi, just their ingame personalities with a few changes here and there, I hope you will like this fluff story, there may be some angst here and there or other things, but I'll just put warnings in chapters for people uncomfortable with it :D

Heres a new KokichiXShuichi story~ Tbh...this was supposed to be a different shipping, but I couldn't stop thinking about the idea of Kokichi, of all people, being the one unable to talk lol I hope you guys like this story~! Every day, Shuichi sits alone behind the school, reading his book peacefully, almost as if he enjoyed being lonely. But it was not always the case, as he used to be social and cheerful. Kokichi gets intrigued and worried by his unordinary behavior and decides to approach this outsider to get some answers. Will there forever be an animosity between these two? Or maybe a long awaited frienship could bloom? Perhaps even more? As usual, I don't like spoiling in the tags, so I will write some trigger warnings here.
