A girl's eyes slowly open, her sight blurry. The mechanical sounds around her are loud, almost too loud to bare. With a groan, she lifts her body off the floor, sitting upright.
As the girl takes a look a her surroundings, everything seems unfamiliar.**The room is small and cramped, with high walls of cold, grey metal. Strange, mechanical contraptions hang from the ceiling and walls. The only source of light is a flickering red bulb above head, illuminating the room in an eerie glow.
As the girl tries to remember what happened, her head begins to ache fiercely, as if something was trying to force itself out of her skull. Confused, the girl stands up and stumbles towards the nearest wall, leaning against it for balance. She closes her eyes, trying to think rationally, but the pain in her head continues to throb violently. Suddenly, a loud mechanical humming sound starts up overhead. She flinches at the sudden noise, her head spinning with questions. Suddenly, the metal floor beneath her begins to shake and vibrate. Startled, the girl stumbles back and forth, trying to keep her balance.
She looks up, noticing the ceiling is slowly rising, revealing a deep, dark pit below. As the girl watches, the room rises higher and higher into the air, the mechanical noises growing louder and more intense. With a sickening lurch, the room suddenly comes to a halt. The girl steadies herself against the wall, her heart pounding in her chest. This can't be real. This must be a nightmare, or some form of hallucination. As the girl tries to calm herself, her thoughts are interrupted by the sound of voices above her. The girl looks up, her eyes trying to peer through the shadows. She can see the outline of people moving around above her, their voices faint and indistinct. She feels a sense of dread wash over her as she realizes she's not alone.
