Toren Daen entered the Central Cathedral feeling hope, ready to challenge the High Vicar and prove his soul.
He left it broken, his wings sundered and torn.
But Toren has a spark; an ember of fire left in his heart that the people around him strive to rekindle. And if Fate is kind, he may just rise from this defeat like the ghostly phoenix bound to his soul.
Toren knows he can help the world he has found himself in. Now, the only task is to flap the butterfly's wings-because Toren hopes to change the outcome of the Dicathian war.

Arthur Leywin, twin Anchor for the Legacy, will not bend to the change Toren heralds so easily. Seris Vritra has plans of her own for Toren as they enter the war in Darv, and there is no telling if his desires fit anywhere within her schemes. The Hearth looms as a beacon of hope: if Toren lives long enough to make it there.
And behind it all, two gods play a game of chess: and they both have a question on their minds as the war of lessers reaches a crescendo.

Several months have passed, following the War with the Valg. Fenrys Moonbeam is slowly settling into his new role as the Ambassador of Terrasen, while his friends and allies set to work strengthening their lands. It seems that Terrasen has finally reached an era of peace, but peace can only last for so long. One Lady is missing from Aelin's Court, and the people in the city of Arcelia are demanding her return. If Nascha Makatza does not claim her birthright, her people will declare a civil war. They will attempt to secede from Terrasen and create their own kingdom, claiming the Anascaul Mountains as their territory. It is up to Fenrys to help his Queen and Court find the rogue Lady and convince her to accept her role in the new world, but that may prove more difficult than he could ever imagine. A Court of War and Sacrifice
A year has passed since Seren Marzena returned to the Night Court with her mate, Azriel. Their time of rest is coming to an end. Plans long kept silent are now being enacted. All across Prythian, threats are revealing themselves. The three Mortal Queens have returned and pledged their allegiance to Koschei, an ancient god who is determined to see Prythian crumble beneath him. Old allies are becoming new enemies as Koschei's influence spreads. He and the Queens must be defeated before they locate Prythian's most powerful artifacts. Time is running out for everyone. If the Courts cannot band together and summon their remaining allies in time, all will be lost. Xaden shouts, scanning the remaining rows of cadets with the same shrewd gaze of the navy-blue dragon behind him. "No? Excellent. Roughly half of you will be dead by this time next summer." The formation is silent except for a few untimely sobs from my left. "A third of you again the year after that, and the same your last year. No one cares who your mommy or daddy is here. Even King Tauri's second son died during his Threshing. So tell me again: Do you feel invincible now that you've made it into the Rider's Quadrant? Untouchable? Elite?" No one cheers. Another blast of heat rushes - this time directly at my face - and every muscle in my body clenches, preparing for incineration. But it's not flames... just steam, and it blows back Rhiannon's braid as the dragons finish their simultaneous exhale. The breeches on the first-year ahead of me darken, the color spreading down his legs. They want us scared. Mission accomplished. "Because you're not untouchable or special to them." Asclepius was the son of the god Apollo who was said to be able to bring people back to life with his healing powers. Unlike and Like , it all connected to Flames and a Phoenix. The moment she had stepped feet into the castle of Hogwarts, students feared her position. So what would happen if one day, the girl who had fought tooth and nail to become the Head Girl, an ice cold Slytherin, would be tricked and sent ten years in the future? Terrasen has rarely known a moment of peace since it reclaimed its freedom. Following a brief battle with the citizens of Arcelia, a new threat has emerged. A group calling themselves the Revolutionists has formed and are vowing to destroy monarchies and topple kingdoms around the world. They have already launched numerous deadly and devastating attacks against unsuspecting settlements across Terrasen, and are becoming more ambitious with each passing day. To prepare for the coming war, the Bane has accepted many new recruits who are working hard to prepare themselves. Vaughan, the Osprey of Doranelle, has been tasked with aiding in the training of the new recruits, but it may be harder than anticipated. One young Fae, Luciana Alburn, is struggling to earn her place in the ranks of the Bane. If Vaughan can't find a way to help her, she will be forced to leave, and he will lose someone more precious than he may ever know.
