The story opens with an entrapment operation by the police but they are soon double-crossed almost killing Dominic in the crossfire. Surviving the bloody encounter, he was soon rescued by Isabelle, who had no other choice but to help him despite being a member of the mafia family. Fearing that her generosity would backfire, Isabelle struck a deal with Dominic to keep her away from the petty war between Dominic and Antonio. 

When Dominic solved what happened in that transaction, Antonio was removed as one of the heads of the family and demoted as a personal assistant of Edward, Dominic's cousin who worked in the entertainment line. Unable to work for Edward any longer a mysterious friend tipped Antonio who helped Dominic on the night he almost killed him, Isabelle. Resorting to kidnapping and threatening her and finally discovered Dominic's new weakness, her. Antonio wanted to kill Isabelle but the mysterious friend advice him otherwise, Antonio should strike a deal with Dominic letting him work under Secretary Han's division (this division works with the illicit business of the Rossi so if he owns that division he could easily manipulate everyone in the family despite having the family code)

Dominic eventually saved Isabelle from Antonio and this time he was banned by his cousin, Emily from ever seeing her again. Emily's reason was simple the family had caused too much heartache in Porta Sole if he wanted another innocent victim to die, the Isabelle and Dominic love story would not be plausible as Emily threatens Dominic to take Isabelle away and go off the grid.
