Dearest Reader, the time for a new season has begun. One might wonder what sort of season this will turn out to be, will it be an entertaining one? Or a simple and dull season? We can only hope that this season's diamond will turn such questions into answers. Although the diamond might catch the eyes of all the eligible bachelor's in the Ton, but what happens behind the scenes of the Ton is all but unknown to this author. Perhaps one young lady might come to the light with the help of one Benedict Bridgerton, for the season to pick up a little spice for this author.

Brooklyn Winterton, a beautiful twenty-year-old young woman who finally steps out into society to find a husband of high rank and money. Her wishes of being left alone to continue her paintings isn't share among her family, who lives for nothing more than to continue the family line and to be perfect in every way possible in the Ton. Though being sick since the age of ten, fate had other plans for young Brooklyn who catches the eye of one Benedict Bridgerton the second eldest son to the Bridgerton household: finding a friendship within his presents the feeling love blossoms between them both only to be met with a tragic ending for them both.
