"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." - Ralph Waldo Emmerson Sandra "Sandy" St. Clair hasn't always been herself. In fact, until the year before last, she was her mother's dream daughter; a caricature of perfection. She used to be the Queen of the Socs. She was a cheerleader, a good girl, on the student council. But one day, that all changed. Sandra stopped hanging out with all of her popular friends, and she dumped her popular boyfriend. She changed the way she dressed. She dropped out of cheer and started taking shop classes; She hung out with the Greasers and the social pariahs...and no one knew why. Now, a Junior in High School, Sandy is something of a 'floater'. She has her foot in both worlds, still maintaining much of the respect and friendship of the socs, minus her twin sister Susan, while mainly hanging out with the "Second Class Citizens" of Rydel High. Her alliance is only further divided when a new girl gang crops up to run against the Socs Hierarchy in the student council election, pitting new-found friend Jane Facciano against long-time friend Buddy Aldridge. Amidst the political divide, Sandy finds herself conflicted. She's been friends with Buddy all her life, and knows that he means well, even if he doesn't always execute it. But she's also got to balance her new-found friendship with Jane and the Pink Ladies, as they represent everything that she has now come to believe in. To make matters worse, Buddy is the ex-boyfriend of both Jane and Susan...which becomes a huge moral dilemma when Sandy develops romantic feelings for him. With High School pulling her in a million directions, will Sandy be able to hang on to who she really is? Or will she succumb to peer pressure and change herself once again to fit in with the crowd? Will she be true to herself and Date Buddy, or remain true to her sister and friend and ignore her feelings? Only time will tell...

Quinn Taylor has made a career out of looking calm. On the ice, she's America's favorite kind of pressure-proof-bright smile, steady answers, the skater everyone wants to root for. Off the ice, she's an only child with a perfectionist's brain and a habit of carrying too much alone. The cameras love her. The country expects her. And the one place she can't afford to fall apart is the one place she's dreamed of since she was little. The Olympics. Macklin Celebrini has always made things feel lighter. He was the new kid at a Northern California rink at twelve-Canadian, polite, a little lost-until Quinn decided he was hers to keep. He became her best friend in the cold air and early mornings, the person who could make her laugh mid-breakdown and never ask her to perform for him. Then life did what life does: seasons changed, schedules got brutal, distance widened, and the kind of friendship that felt unbreakable turned into occasional texts and quiet missing. Now they're both back where the world is loudest. At the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Quinn is chasing the skate of her life for Team USA. Mack is carrying his own weight for Team Canada hockey. When reporters find out they grew up together, the story writes itself-childhood friends reunited, smiles caught on camera, a thousand strangers deciding what they are to each other. The only problem is... the strangers aren't entirely wrong. Between past chapters at a small California rink and present days in the Olympic Village, Quinn and Mack have to figure out what they really meant to each other then-and what they're allowed to be now, with medals on the line and the whole world watching. Because it's one thing to love someone quietly from a distance. It's another to have them show up in your life again and make everything feel possible.
