My eyes finally met his . "Do you ever realize what you're doing ?" I asked , my tone just above a whisper . I pulled my hand out of his grasp and his eyes shot to mine . "Mal, I'm trying to apologize here. I'm trying to be the good guy." 

"Isaiah , you shouldn't have to try and be the good guy. You should just be , the good guy." 

"You should just be , the good guy." He stated , mockingly . He furrowed his eyebrows and stared at me pointedly . "Mal, you make it so hard for me to be nice to you." He stood up from his seat and I immediately gripped the seat of the chair with my right hand. 

"Here I am trying to give you a beautiful thought out dinner , but you're main focus it to disrespect me. You want to try and make me feel bad but you deserve literally everything that's happened."
