In Illinois 1987 April, Grace and April's dad decide to take a trip to Chicago, a storm comes and takes April's best friend's life, she goes into a depressive state. She tries bonding with her dad once more, still blaming him for taking Grace's life, but when an old member of her trio offers to spend the rest of the summer with her, she starts developing strange feelings, but with these feelings weird things happen around her.
