In the stern shadows of the Qishan Wen Clan, Wen Ying, affectionately known as Wuxian, grapples with the burden of his lineage as the nephew of Wen Rouhan, the feared and ruthless leader renowned for his volatile temperament and rare acts of kindness. Growing up within the clan's strict confines, Wen Ying's memories of his past are fragmented, filled more with the clan's dark corridors than with the warmth of familial ties.

At the behest of his uncle, Wen Ying is sent to Gusu to participate in a prestigious cultivation program with the Lan Clan.
