After receiving a strange letter from Alastor requesting him to visit him, Vox immediately came to the conclusion that he was going to be killed. However, after paying a visit to the Hotel, he instead found out that Alastor was in rut, and was inviting him over for an entirely different reason... ---- Note: This fic will have eventual smut (not for a good few chapters, as it is a slow burn). Alastor's asexuality is also addressed in this, although it isn't a major plot point. ---- Word count as of last update: 7531

For months, Alastor and Vox have been tangled in a dangerous game-one of silk ties, hushed whispers, and stolen moments behind Valentino's back. What started as a reckless thrill has become something more, something neither of them are ready to name. But when Alastor, ever the enigma, admits he misses him-not just the chase, not just the sex, but Vox-old memories come crashing back. Before the money. Before the power. Before Valentino. Back when they were just two demons against the world. And despite everything, despite the years and the bitterness, Vox knows one thing: he never stopped loving Alastor. Now, faced with the possibility of something real, something more, Vox is ready to risk everything-his empire, his reputation, his so-called relationship-to have him back. But Alastor doesn't make decisions lightly. And the past has a way of leaving scars. All Vox needs is for Alastor to say the word. And this time, he won't let him go.
