Awaiting to finally be able to age out, only a year away for her 18th birthday, Marcella Morales will finally be free to forge her own path. Having bounced between neglectful homes for years, she's both excited and apprehensive to start truly living. That's when her wildest dream becomes reality.

Though Vic's free spirited, live for today attitude initially intoxicates her, Marcy soon learns the darker side of fame. 

As this makeshift family navigates jealous groupies, media frenzies, and drama galore, Marcy must decide who she really wants to become. Her journey leads her down a road of self-discovery, first loves, and defining her own voice , both literarily and figuratively. In the end, Marcy realizes that taking control of her future doesn't mean simply cutting ties with her troubled past.
