Oblivion

I've seen many of things, but nothing came close to what I was witnessing. The world around me wasn't my own. It's as if I had fallen through a portal of my own childhood imagination. Then there was my fear of heights. And with my back against the wall and my arm entangled with the ladder I looked over to the man staring at me with curiosity. He seemed like he was in a rush, like he just wanted to keep moving and not look back. He must've noticed my fear and smiled genuinely as he reached out his arm to take my hand. I got lost in his eyes and reached for him, forgetting that the edge of the lawn was close. His eyes relaxed me, and somehow made me think I've known him for years. I closed my eyes and nodded the though out of my head. 'You need to be looking for Jack!' I smiled back as we moved on.
