Joan "Jo" (like Joan of Arc) was sent up to the Glade for a reason. As she navigates to find the reason for her being sent there she collides with one of the Keepers in pursuit of establishing herself as vital role in the Glade rather than being just the first girl to ever be sent there. After months in the Glade, and after watching many of her friends die in front of her, Sara is about to lose hope, but then a boy name Thomas come up from the box, and together with Minho they are trying to find a way out of the maze, but one of the boys in the Glade don't like they are trying to find a way out.
