Almost a year after the events after their mission, Lavi, Kanda, and Zion are once again sent on a mission across seas alongside a new face, whom no one had really met before.
As they get to know each other, they begin to learn about this girl with the unknown past -- Xael Lia.
When Xael confides in her new companions, she grows closer and closer to one particular enigmatic young man. Little by little, she peels back this secretive man's layers, learning more about him than he had ever shared before.
Nonetheless, Zion and Kanda have their own growing pains to take care of. As their new love blossoms and blooms, they must truly learn about how to treasure their relationship in their dangerous line of work.
