"Why are you helping me?" The chimpanzee asks cautiously thinking it's a trap and trying to see through her facade. "Because...because I truly believe that humans and apes can co-exist Noa!".

Their eyes locked, his expressions a mix of confusion and longing. Their conversation had been strained, full of unspoken words and unanswered questions. They had danced around the subject of their true feelings for one another, each afraid to admit what their hearts already knew.

(Y/N) is an 18-year-old teenager who is trying to survive and look for more of her kind, Noa is a young ape who sets out to rescue his clan. Both have different but similar goals. Find out and see what lies for this ape and human. (I suck at summaries :P)

Not Like You (The Simian Forest Saga: Vol. I)

39 parts Complete Mature

"The rain grew colder, the canopy enamoured and blushing even deeper shades of auburn and gold. The tension was growing and the entirety of the large ape colony knew that it would snap at a moment's notice. They were all waiting-- waiting for something to crumble." Greed, tyranny, bloodlust, betrayal. Mankind has done nothing more than pollute and poison what is rightfully ours. After an entire reset of the food chain, man has all but disappeared, all thanks to a human-made virus called the Simian Flu. Apes around the globe, in turn, have become advanced both cognitively and externally, adapting their own form of sign language, as well as learning to speak. The year is 2029. Krissa may very well be the only survivor. Will she manage to weather the trials and tribulations that come with living deep within the Oasis? Proud winner of the Trident Awards
