Teamwork for Hire

A friend of my son's has ask if I would post some of my Bleach fic here, so here is a crossover Free!/Bleach fic that I wrote.

Here's what I said originally about it on AO3: Summary:

After the defeat of Aizen, Ichigo has lost his superpowers but not his skills so he's been hiring himself out to any sports team looking for a strong player. When Nagisa Hazuki approaches Ichigo to join the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club, something piques Ichigo's interest....

This was written for artisticvulpes and in response to this post: "If all the members of the Free! Iwatobi Swim Club are people who have names that are normally for the opposite gender. Why are there no Bleach crossovers with the team meeting Ichigo Kurosaki? I mean come on, Nagisa went crazy getting Rei to join just because his name fit the pattern. Why not do something similar in a crossover like during the seventeen months when Ichigo was a sports club member for hire?"

I love Free! Iwatobi Swim Club ALMOST as much as I love Bleach, so I said, "I'll do it!"

Similarly, I wrote this for fans of BOTH shows. (I have no idea how much crossover there will be.) So, that's to say, I don't explain a lot about who/what Ichigo is, nor do I go into huge amounts of backstory of the Free! team. Hopefully, if you're not a fan of both shows and you still want to read it, it will still make some sense to you.

A note about the relationships and the rating. One of the things I love about Free! is that, to me, the characters all feel very gay, but none of that is terribly explicit in a very innocent, teenage way. So, I've kept this entirely 'g' rated (with the exception of Ichigo's language) and while the Free! team is 'out' in their heads (with the exception of Rin), the romantic elements never go further than handholding and cuddling.
