Life as Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak knew it was shattered beyond recognition two months after their marriage when a devastating car wreck left when Castiel with a massive head injury and in a coma for weeks.
When he finally awoke, he had no idea who Dean was. With no recollection of their relationship and while Castiel experienced personality changes common to those who suffer head injuries, Dean realized the man he had married essentially died in the accident.
And yet, against all odds, Dean and Castiel fall in love all over again.
(I got this idea from the actual book and movie, The Vow. I used the back page description summary but changed the names. This fanfic is like The Vow, with the head injury and amnesia but the events that occur, how they met and how they get back together are totally different. Enjoy!) :D

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. One day a pleasant memory comes through the cracks in his wall he can't place where it came from. The only thing he knows is he needs to find the man with the stunning green eyes.
