Yellow sparks swirl around me as I speed to the boys' tornados. I am halfway across the platform from their combining tornados when I stop and stare at the thing in front of me.

𝘉𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘭𝘺.

There is a vague yellow butterfly in the midst of my Spinjitzu.

But it isn't a real butterfly, no, it's one that looks to be made of golden mist, of trickery. And yet, here it is. Gently flying around my tornado as if it were a happy day in the sun.

Mesmerizing was its yellow glow. My hand reaches out to touch it.

I tilt my head and grin, grinning down at him ever so slightly by this one-inch height difference while sitting. "You're a little chaotic, kid. But that makes you fun, right?"

His cheeks turn a bubblegum pink and his body ridges a bit, sucking in his bottom lip, he looks away mumbling. "I...I'm not a kid."

"Sure, kid, sure."

I released a sigh. "Look, kid. I-"

"Don't call me kid!!" He snaps, his cheeks red and his fists balled at his sides. "I am not just a kid! I am 11, I am barely younger than you! So for the love of the First Spinjitzu Master, will you please stop calling me that!"
