There was once a story of a man who could take on whole armies and survive. A man thought to be more machine than human, something that could rival the Sith. That story was wrong, this man could take on empires and the Sith, they feared him. His name echoes in the shadows, an unspoken hero of freedom and democracy; 117.
This story is a rewritten version of the original Project Ares (by me) and features extra content and better/more concise chapters. Still, I do not take credit for the characters, only the story.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... War has stretched across the Galaxy! Peaceful systems are plunged into the heat of battle, with many being ill equipped to thwart back the overwhelming separatist forces led by Count Dooku and General Grievous. One legion in the grand army of the Republic seeks to turn the tide, and bring peace and order back to the oppressed systems under the CIS. The 501st, led by the Young General Skywalker and Commander Tano, are dispatched on a grueling and treacherous mission to the planet of Mygeeto. Clone Order 66 was the time when all Jedi died. All the Knights, padawans, and children of the force, dead. All but one, me. The clones killed them all. Every clone turned. All except three, Gregor, Rex, and Wolffe. My best friend was among the ones who turned. His name was Jack. After he shot down my master, I fled. I left with the three clones still on my side. I never wanted to see Jack again. I'm an untrained Jedi, without a master, running from the Sith that want me dead. How did this happen? My parents disappeared and my sister died in an explosion caused by the republic forces, almost 10 years ago! I thought I'd never see any of them again, I was wrong. During an un-planned rescue, I learned of a message from an old Jedi master. I regret my instant reaction to the instructions I was given. I've been told poems that don't make any sense by ghosts. Don't call me insane, I know I am. One of them drills into me and I can't get it out. The ghost had told me, they loved droids so much, they became one. I don't know who they are? Me? Let's hope not. What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. Ahsoka and Rex have been together for almost a year now, through many hard times like Umbara for instance. No body knows about them... except for Cody and Kix, who swore they wouldn't tell a soul.
