In a perfect galaxy, they ALL could have lived happily ever after in peace... Something every single one of them deserved considering the chaotic, brutal, and tumultuous lives they had lived. If only the galaxy was such an ideal and picturesque place.
My little tribute in honor of The Bad Batch now that the final episode has aired... Some fluff...
I really love and appreciate The Bad Batch in so many ways. The show truly resonated with me (as well as many others)... It's incredibly powerful when a work of art is able to evoke such reactions and emotions. Not often do I get so attached to characters like I did with the members of the Batch. I'm going to miss this series a lot!

I'm uploaded this to Ao3 on May 1st, 2024 - aka the day the series finale was released... The vast majority of this was written before the last episode aired... I am posting this story after having watched it though... Due to that, I had no idea what tone the ending would be while writing this. I wrote this in an effort to manifest a happy ending for the Batch (therefore naturally Tech being included), as well as to have something wholesome to think about if things didn't go the way they did. After watching the finale, I added some additional aspects.
I am very touched by the way the show ended, so this story will be somewhat of an AU I guess. Overall, it was a brilliant conclusion to an extraordinary show... Too bad it's not a "perfect" galaxy...

The Bad Batch: Tech and Vel
During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech. Aurora Ealis is a Bounty Hunter who thinks that it's best to be alone in life. With no one to care for, loss wouldn't be as such of a big deal. Well that's what she thinks at least. While walking on the moon of Pantora, Aurora was just minding her own business when a small blonde child caught her attention. After following the girl and getting involved she is involuntarily saved by The Bad Batch. Fighting their leader all the way back to Coruscant upon their first meeting; she is glad to be out of their sight for what she hoped was for good. But their little girl isn't one to give up on Aurora. After tracking the bounty hunter down. Hunter got to see the shady part of Coruscant's lower levels that she lives on. He saves her from an ambush and again Aurora finds herself back in the care of the batch. A not ideal situation for her and Hunter couldn't agree more, but as Hunter gets to know Aurora more and more he can't help himself from wondering what happened to her in the past and why she gets so defensive about it. And how would Aurora feel once she is finally forced to face her feelings? Does she embrace it or does she do what she does best and runaway?
