Moving back to Smallville I knew to prepare for some level of change. You can't exist in this town without dirt under your fingernails, and grass-stains on your clothes. I accepted I would bake in the sun while tending the garden I would surely now have, and understood I would struggle to fall asleep with the endless drum of buzzing insects in my ears.
