And it was broken. Your destiny was broken.

You are the Hylian Champion- or at least you once were called that. Now with an ancient evil returning to Hyrule, you feel lost in your role. Your best friend, Zelda, has gone missing. The Master Sword, your birthright, was lost as well. And now you're stuck with an arm that is not your own and a kingdom that has been altered. With a broken heart and bitter soul, you must once again journey to protect the people of the land

The Origin of a Champion
Many see him and think he is simply a talented individual who hasn't seen a bit of struggle or a hard day in his life. Everyone knows of Link, the Hylian Champion who will fight along with the four other Champions against Calamity Ganon, but does anyone know how Link came to be that great Hylian Champion in the first place? This is my head-cannon story of BOTW Link's childhood and life before becoming Zelda's appointed knight. It is not cannon from Nintendo, and you can't prove it right, but you can't prove it wrong either! The Legend of Zelda and most of the main characters are owned by Nintendo, but the actual story and some of the other main characters comes from my imagination.
