Another ten years has passed, and for Fallon those years have been both dark and exhausting. Being hunted and enduring hardship, sees her find hope in the one hundredth year festival of the Victori Villvosk trials. Her desperation is strong, as is her willfulness in returning to Wenweir of Anthore kingdom.
The changes that she finds there, are no less dark than the nightmares of her vague past, and the unknown truth behind the deaths of her mother and father. In the kingdom of Anthore, deaths, disappearances and cruel punishments dwell, and not always in the shadows. The roots of her past lead to an ever widening web of darkness, and to those who would smile while poisoning her wine and courting the light to covet their own malicious desires.
Trust and betrayal are hard won and sorely lost, the light and shadow is the heart of all life bringing balance. The ancient laws, once a tightly interwoven tapestry, slowly begin to fray.
