Ladon Mollaret has been protecting and helping his single mother, Isabella, all his life, and seemingly, he has been living a rather discreet existence despite their past. He is now a high school student back in an already-known city, and his only desire is to pass high school unnoticed by others. However, when the unpredictable presence of Vivonte appears in his life, everything takes its turn.

It turns out that Vivonte is more than meets the eye. Behind his facade of easy-going friendly high schooler lies a secret: he works as the lead operative of the Serpentine Order, an influential (criminal) network. Having been assigned the task of collecting some information about Ladon and then persuading him to return to a group, Vivi's motivation is far from pure at the beginning.

That's the story of two unlikely individuals - Vivonte and Ladon - and their newfound friendship with each other, where they discover hidden skills, insecurities, and the bond that changes them. But their alliance is tested by the truth about Vivonte's mission, and even more by Lori's mother's severe illness and several enemies with an overpowering desire to harm both teens.

Dispelling the darkness of loyalty or duty with the light of love and desire, dreams and reality, Vivonte and Ladon face a never-ending illusion. Representing two opposite sides of the law, will they be able to avoid the organization's control and build a life together?
