Agent Carter's mission was simple: keep an eye on Cap while he's asleep. And she did as she was asked. Victoria kept an eye on Captain Rogers after he was recovered from the ice and afterwards, making sure to stay hidden from him to do her job properly and as she was told. She's always been successful on her missions, except on the one that made the Director assign her to look after the long-lost Captain.

When Steve Rogers awakens from his sixty six year-long sleep, their worlds collide. Just, not in the best way. Steve's instinct and mistrust causes a reaction in him because it isn't easy to understand the modern world when you went down as it looked differently. It is hard to trust and understand people.

Despite what happened between them when they met and Victoria's troubled past, she soon feels a connection with the Captain, regardless of only knowing him from afar.

Immediately upon a threat coming to Earth, Victoria and Steve meet again. This time, the different circumstances allow them to grow together. Soon, Steve feels that connection towards the Agent as she reminds him of someone he used to know. What threatens them over the years is to which extent this bond is real? How different might it be from the past? How could he separate who Victoria is from the ghost that haunts him?
